Pets & Company is owned and operated by a mother-daughter team. It was Meredith’s dream that led the way to the creation of Pets & Company. Meredith has always had a special place in her heart for animals so it was no surprise that she took her first job working in a local kennel. She continued working in the kennel industry until she graduated college in ’04.

Nearing graduation and looking to the future Meredith and her mom began making plans for her own kennel. As her elaborate plan began to unfold the project took on a life of its own, requiring a tremendous amount of research, time and energy. The goal was simple, to create a kennel where pet owners would feel comfortable leaving their pets. On February 25th, 2006 Pets & Company opened for business and Meredith’s dream became a reality.

Professional Affiliations

Pet Care Services Association (PCSA)

We are accredited by the PCSA, which requires participating boarding kennels to demonstrate their adherence to a comprehensive set of operational standards. These standards include over 200 detailed requirements for boarding kennels and were developed over many years by the PCSA, the international trade association for the owners and operators of commercial boarding kennels. The standards reflect the views of kennel operators, veterinarians, pet owners, and humane organizations and thus represent the “state of the art” in animal care and management.

Boarding kennels accredited by the PCSA must submit detailed information about their animal care procedures and business policies and submit to an on-site inspection. This program offers pet owners the assurance that accredited facilities have earned the PCSA “stamp of approval” by successfully completing this comprehensive program.

Our staff is comprised of a Certified Advanced Pet Care Technician and Certified Pet Care Technicians.
